How To Delete Parent Canvas Account
You can delete a user from your account. This process cannot be undone and will remove the user’s data (including grades and ePortfolios) from all courses and groups.
Note: If your account manages user information through a student information system (SIS), changes will also have to be made in the SIS. So any changes made in Canvas will not be passed back to the SIS.
So follow these steps below to delete a user from an account:
Step 1. Open Account
Step 2. In Global Navigation, click the Admin link
Step 3. Now, click the name of the account
Step 4. And in the Account Navigation, click the People link.
Step 5. In the search results, click the user’s name.
Step 6. Locate the Delete from [account title] link to delete the user.
Step 7. And finally, After clicking on the delete link, you will be asked if you are sure you want to delete the user. If you are sure, click the Delete [User Name] button.
Note: This will remove the user’s data (including grades and ePortfolios) from all courses and groups.
Data (Account) Deletion Request
California residents may submit a verifiable request for them to delete any personal information they have collected about you. Please note that this is subject to certain exceptions.
Once they receive and confirm your verifiable request, they will delete your personal information from their records, unless an exception applies.
